Actors must memorize and rehearse their lines. Actors express ideas and portray characters in theater, film, television, and other performing arts media. They interpret a writer's script to entertain or inform an audience.
Tactics are how you get what you want in a scene. Some people call them actions, they are the actions we take to get what we want. Generally, they are transitive verbs like CONFRONT, PUNCH, LASH, CARESS. Choosing a TACTIC for each line is called ACTIONING.
The action word helps you to understand your character's intention. If you decide on a word that describes a physical action – such as punch or kick, see if you can use that physical action in the performance of your line. Use the action word in this sentence format: I <action> you (the character you are talking to).
