One of the other famous actors in wheelchairs is Daryl Mitchell. Mitchell, who has paraplegia, was injured during a motorcycle accident in 2001 when he hit a patch of loose gravel and wiped out. However, he isn't one to let his spinal cord injury hold him down and returned to acting within a year of his injury.
On November 10, 2001, Mitchell was paralyzed from the waist down after a motorcycle crash on an island near Beaufort, South Carolina, in which he lost control of his bike while turning a corner on gravel and loose pavement. He woke up five days later in the hospital.
Mitchell, who has been acting in Hollywood since 1990, was paralysed in a motorbike accident in 2001, and his roles before to his misfortune are still in heavy rotation on television.
He is an actor and producer, known for 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), Inside Man (2006) and Galaxy Quest (1999).
Casting and characterisation. Having previously appeared as a baby and a toddler, Ben returned to EastEnders in 2006 played by child actor Charlie Jones. Jones was cast alongside Megan Jossa, who would play his cousin Courtney Mitchell. While Ben is partially deaf, Jones is a hearing actor.
