Michael Moore (born April 23, 1954, Flint, Michigan, U.S.) is an American filmmaker, author, and political activist, who is best known for a series of documentaries—often controversial—that address major political and social issues in the United States.
In 2009, Moore faced criticism for using non-union workers to produce his film Capitalism: A Love Story. After his 2014 divorce, Moore was reported to have nine homes and a net worth of $50 million.
Michael Lang Moorehouse (May 28, 1925 – February 4, 1998) was an American actor. He was known for playing the role of Sgt. Manfredi in the 1953 film Stalag 17.
Michael began his journalistic career writing for the school newspaper The Michigan Times, and after dropping out of college briefly worked as editor for Mother Jones. He then turned to filmmaking, and to earn the money for the budget of his first film Roger & Me (1989) he ran neighborhood bingo games.
