VIKINGS Panel SDCC: Gustaf Skarsgård delights fans with Floki Giggle
FAQs
Floki Played by Gustaf Skarsgård. Floki is a genius ship builder and he designs and builds the prototype of the new generation of Viking ships which can sail across the open ocean but also up the shallowest of rivers.
Floki the boat builder, a character played by Swedish actor Gustaf Skarsgård in the History channel's Vikings television series, is loosely based on Hrafna-Flóki Vilgerðarson. In season 5 of the show he arrives in Iceland, believing he has found Asgard.
However, all of his adult sons is at or around 190–195 cm (6,3–6,5, for those that prefer that kind of measurements). Quite tall, even for Scandinavians. Gustaf was the tallest in the Vikings main cast, something not really noticeable due to Floki having terrible posture.
Vikings season 2 is set in 796, so Floki was 33 years old, and the final season began roughly around 825, so by then, Floki would have been 62 years old.
It's generally assumed that Floki was more on the lines of schizophrenia due to his religious delusions and erratic manners, though some have suggested that he might have been autistic.
