Born May 27, 1980 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of a Jewish father who worked in advertising and a non-Jewish mother.
Ben Feldman (Fred) was only supposed to appear as a guest star in the pilot. When the show was sold to Lifetime it was decided that his character was necessary and he was brought back. He decided to leave the show to pursue other opportunities, even though he was asked to return.
Ben Feldman stars as Jonah Simms, the store's idealistic and helpful employee on Superstore. He is an American actor best known for Drop Dead Diva, Mad Men, Silicon Valley and A to Z. Feldman was born in Potomac, Maryland.
As for why her character left within the show, she exited Cloud 9 after being offered a job at the store's parent company Zephra, meaning she had to move to Palo Alto.
