Chuck E.. Munch was no longer manufactured as an animatronic, rather being portrayed as a puppet displayed on a screen, along with the other side characters. He was also given a new voice by John Bowen. He remained mostly the same as his previous incarnations, until 2014.
Chuck E. Cheese emerged from bankruptcy in December 2020 after ownership was passed to its creditors, including investment firms Monarch Alternative Capital and Redan Advisors, who agreed to eliminate $705 million in debt from its balance sheet. The company and its franchisees operate nearly 600 Chuck E.
Jaret Reddick, best known as the lead singer for the band, Bowling for Soup, was hired for the singing and speaking voice of Chuck E.
