FAQs

Majors was born Harvey Lee Yeary on April 23, 1939, in the Detroit suburb of Wyandotte, Michigan. He was the only child of Carl Yeary, who was killed in a work-related accident before Harvey was born, and Alice Yeary, who was killed in a car accident when he was a year old.
At the age of two, Majors was adopted by his uncle and aunt, Harvey and Mildred Yeary, and he moved with them to Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Majors has continued to work and made appearances in Weeds, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Tour of Duty, and more. Majors has been married four times, most notably to the late Farrah Fawcett. He is now married to Faith Noelle and has four kids.
Fawcett began dating Lee Majors in the late 1960s. She was married to Majors from 1973 to 1982, although the couple separated in 1979. They had no children. Throughout her marriage (and despite the separation) she used the name Farrah Fawcett-Majors in her screen credits.
His acting mentor was Barbara Stanwyck, whom he credits as his favorite mentor/best friend. Changed his name to Lee Majors after Joan Crawford and others in Hollywood had difficulty pronouncing his real name of Yeary.
