The Mandalorian is portrayed and voiced by Pedro Pascal, and stunt actors Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder perform as body doubles when Pascal is unavailable. Pascal has cited Clint Eastwood as an influence on the character, and many comparisons have been drawn between the Mandalorian and Eastwood's Man with No Name.
Fans will still have to wait a little while for the film's release as The Mandalorian & Grogu won't be released in cinemas until May 22, 2026. Audiences at D23 also got to see some footage from the movie, which found the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) on a snow planet.
Carano played a recurring character in the first two seasons of the hit Star Wars show. However, in 2021, Carano was fired following a social media post she made that appeared to compare the treatment of modern-day Republicans to the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust.
