Pascal has cited Clint Eastwood as an influence on the character, and many comparisons have been drawn between the Mandalorian and Eastwood's Man with No Name.
Fans will still have to wait a little while for the film's release as The Mandalorian & Grogu won't be released in cinemas until May 22, 2026. Audiences at D23 also got to see some footage from the movie, which found the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) on a snow planet.
