On January 25, 1988, Moore died at age 88 from cancer in Paso Robles, California. For her contributions to the motion picture industry, Colleen Moore has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1551 Vine Street.
Moore, who launched her motion picture career in westerns as Tom Mix's leading lady, became the consummate flapper and also possessed a comedic talent that she showcased in such films as Irene (1926) and Orchids and Ermine (1927).
Colleen's family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and later to Tampa, Florida, where she spent some of her happiest years.
