Dinah Sheridan(1920-2012) Cheerful-looking actress Dinah Sheridan was considered the quintessential English rose of late 30's and 40's British films. With an alertness, elegance and quiet beauty second to none, she won the hearts of war-torn England during WWII.
Sheridan died peacefully at her home in Northwood, London, on 25 November 2012, aged 92.
Claire Elizabeth Foy was born in Stockport, England, on 16 April 1984 to David Foy and Caroline Stimpson, of partial Irish descent, the youngest of three children. She has an older brother, Robert, and an older sister, Gemma, as well as a younger half sister through her father.
Her brother Simeon promised to find a husband for her, but she did not wish to leave Shechem, fearing that, after her disgrace, no one would take her to wife. However, she was later married to Job. When she died, Simeon buried her in the land of Canaan.
In 1966, Sheridan began starring in a new television series, a Western-themed comedy called Pistols 'n' Petticoats. She became ill during the filming and died of esophageal cancer with massive liver metastases at age 51 on January 21, 1967, in Los Angeles.
