Whittaker and Chibnall stated they would exit the show following the thirteenth series and three specials, which aired through 2022. Chibnall said Jodie and I made a 'three series and out' pact with each other at the start of this once-in-a-lifetime blast.
She talks about her good luck often. Actors often say that they're lucky and it can be a luvvie affectation, but with Whittaker, you get the sense she's genuinely thrilled to be doing a job she loves, mostly because it means she gets to spend time with a lot of people, and she also really loves people.
They will see the Doctor and Yaz going on a new set of adventures through time and space, with Whittaker saying she's over the moon to be returning to the role. She said in a statement: I'm over the moon to be joining Big Finish for more adventures in the TARDIS.
Season 11 is where the show falls off a cliff. The writing is so awful, I kept fast forwarding through episodes trying to find something good, and then the seasons ended. Jodie Whittaker didn't get a chance to show how good, or bad, she could be in the role.
