How to convert VHS tapes to DVDs
FAQs
You can copy your VHS to DVD by using a VHS VCR and a recorder combination. It is essentially the same as option 1, but a lot easier as both the DVD recorder and VCR are in a single unit. This means there are no extra connection cables required.
Select the input on the DVD recorder that the VCR is connected to. Place the tape you want to copy into the VCR. Place a recordable DVD into the DVD recorder. Start the DVD recording first, then press play on the VHS VCR to start tape playback.
Connect the VCR to the DVD recorder using either the coaxial, composite (red, white, and yellow) or S-Video cables. Insert a recordable disc. Press the Input button to select the input source according to the connection you made (Channel , AV1, AV2, or S-Video), and record as usual.
The cost to convert a VHS to DVD is in the range of $9 to $15 per vhs tape. There are companies that will charge more for a single VHS tape but our pricing is competitive regardless of quantity or type of tape. We want you to save money! Legacybox aims to be your go-to reliable, affordable digitization service.
When considering video quality, digital formats have the upper hand. By converting VHS to digital, you can achieve a higher resolution than what you get from DVDs. DVDs, in contrast, can't match the higher quality of digital formats.
