John Fugelsang is a New York-based political commentator, comedian, TV and radio personality, performer, and writer. He was the host of America's Funniest Home Videos and has appeared frequently on news commentary shows on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and NPR.
John is named as the beloved disciple, as well as the one whom Jesus loved, in the New Testament of the Bible. John was one of the first to follow Jesus, was seated next to Jesus at the Last Supper, and was the only disciple present at the crucifixion of Jesus.

He is most likely the enigmatic figure known as the “beloved disciple” who is one of the twelve. He has a special relationship with Jesus, even laying his head on his chest at the Last Supper (13:23).
John is also known for being one of the three closest disciples of Jesus, preparing the place for the Last Supper, witnessing Jesus raising Jairus's daughter from the dead, being present for the Transfiguration, and being present in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before the crucifixion.
